FIBREGLASS (GRP) PULTRUDED GRATINGS

Pultruded gratings are available in the major types of resin: isophthalic (moderate chemical corrosion), vinylester (severe chemical corrosion) and phenolic (fire resistant), with slip-resistant surfaces for safety or smooth surfaces for food applications.

Però, EUROGRATE® pultruded gratings are manufactured using isophthalic, vinyl ester, or phenolic polyester resins with a synthetic protective surfacing veil. The high percentage of glass fibre in load-bearing bars provides a high strength to weight ratio and high longitudinal stiffness. Exceptional chemical and mechanical resistance.

EUROGRATE® aims to offer highly specialised products, supplying gratings designed specifically for use in areas of high fire risk requiring minimum smoke emission and maximum fire resistance.

More specifically EUROGRATE® offers pultruded gratings in phenolic resin that are approved by the US Coast Guard (USCG) with an L2 rating in compliance with the new ASTM F3059-15 standard.

They can be supplied in standard panel sizes:

- 914 x 5800 mm
- 1220 x 5800 mm
- or made to measure.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF PULTRUDED GRATINGS:

• Corrosion resistance and mechanical resistance,comparable with metal gratings
  EUROGRATE® pultruded gratings are manufactured using vinyl ester and isophthalic polyester resins with a synthetic protective surfacing veil. • Lightweight
  With less than half the weight of steel gratings they are easy to handle without using heavy equipment, making it possible to achieve significant energy savings.
• Fire retardant properties
  EUROGRATE® pultruded gratings are made using fire retardant resin systems that meet the Class 1 (25 or less) flame spread ratings of ASTM E84 and the self-extinguishing requirements of ASTM D635. For areas of high fire risk EUROGRATE® offers pultruded gratings in phenolic resin approved by the USCG with an L2 rating in compliance with the new ASTM F3059 standard.
• Maintenance free
  Thanks to the inherent features of the material, pultruded gratings do not need sandblasting, or painting, making it possible to construct maintenance-free walkways.
• UV protection and Increased Safety
  EUROGRATE® pultruded gratings are made using UV inhibitors included in the resin system together with a synthetic surfacing veil and hard-wearing permanent slip-resistant quartz top surface, protecting the product from any risk of falls and increasing its resistance to UV radiation.
• Thermal and electrical insulation
  EUROGRATE® pultruded gratings are both electrically and thermally non-conductive, ensuring additional safety for those working on them, characteristics that make them essential in many applications.
• Electromagnetic transparency
  One of the characteristics of fibreglass is the property of not interfering with radio waves, RF, or radar. This means that EUROGRATE® pultruded gratings can be used in areas where this property is of high importance.
• Ease of installation
  EUROGRATE® pultruded gratings have many benefits during installation: lightweight (no heavy lifting equipment is required), on-site shaping (no torch or oxyhydrogen flame for cutting), no edge banding (unlike metal gratings, it does not require the usual edge banding), drilling and shaping (they can easily be cut with a jigsaw).
